| I bought this one because I have been very pleased with the Venus SACDs that have been coming out the last year or so and because I am a fan on Michel Legrand as well as Steve Kuhn. Immediately I was rewarded with the deep sounds of George Mraz acoustic bass. I do not know what Venus is doing that other places are not but I am glad they are doing it. It is the bass that really shines on this album, at least from a SQ perspective. All the playing is top notch and the compositions are standards that everyone who listens to jazz records know well. Some of these my titles may be mistaken for the Great American Songbook, that is how well they are known, but Mr. Legrand is a French composer. If you enjoy great trio playing, give this one a try, you will most likely enjoy it.
