Joe Walsh: So What        (4 of 5 found this review helpful)
  July 28, 2015

Audio Fidelity has returned to the SACD format for a while now and I was very glad to see that So What from Joe Walsh was released. I have owned the Japanese SHM CD for a while now and that was my go to version until now. A friend of mine, Kevin, and I got together the other night to make the ... more
Bob Dylan: The Times They Are A-Changin'        (1 of 2 found this review helpful)

How do you review a Bob Dylan disc? He keeps one's interest with only his lyrics, voice, guitar and harmonica. The SQ on this is great. I know not think anyone will be disappointed, I sure was not. MOFI did a fantastic job here, it is not a showcase disc for one's system but it sure does sound ... more

WOW!!! This sounds just great. It is in mono but one would never know it. The soundstage is very distinct. Yes it is a 1950 recording, yes I would have no trouble believing someone if they said it was recorded in the 60's, it really does sound that good. It is not a demo disc in terms of showing off ... more

I heard a definition of audiophile that seems fitting. One who is kept up at night wondering if they have the definitive version of a particular release. Up until recently my go to version was the SHM CD from Japan. I recently received the Blu-ray and upon first audition it seemed no better than the ... more

This disc consist of music being played by 17th Century period string instruments and the singing of 2 sopranos. The performances are very good and the sounds quality is excellent. This type of music is not what I usually listen to though I do enjoy period instruments. The voices are quite good but ... more

I purchase this too based on the review. I am a 2 channel listener and I was sorry to put this in and see it come up as a CD. The music and sound are good but I was expecting an SACD. I am sure it sounds awesome as a Mch SACD but that was not what I expected. ... more

As of this writing, SA-CD.net has this listed as unreleased. This has been released and I just listened to it. It is a very excellent release. I can only speak to the stereo SACD layer because that is all I am set up to listen to. I did compare it to the long OOP DVD-A and to these ears it sounds the same. There has never been a problem with the ... more

I too have pre-ordered the Blu-ray of COTC and await its arrival. I am questioning my order based on the forum posts so far. I did go onto Amazon's UK site to see if there were any reviews. I checked other places too but the UK site seems to be the only Blu-ray review so far. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ELVVABW/?tag=sacdinfocom08-21 Check the ... more
