Performance: Sonics:
The Seventh Sojourn was IMHO the last great Moody album! Justin Hayward's penned "New Horizons" is truely one of the most beautiful songs ever and is on my top 10 songs ever. Hearing this song and the rest of the precious album in glorious SACD quad mix is overwhelming!
As with all the other Moody albums the SACD mix offers stunning sound quality and fans will marvel in its overall tone.
At the time of its release the Seventh Sojourn was really meant to be a parting of the band from the old to the new and was a time to rest for the band. Aptly titled considering this was their seventh album and was a signal that they were going to halt for a long while before writing and touring again.....in fact this was a long while and they never got back to this level of creativity and cohesiveness...........
This SACD is sonically a wonderful example of what sound can be like bringing this 1972 masterpiece back to complete life!
If you are a fan of the Moody Blues then all seven of these SACDs are essential !
