Sonics:
Interesting to get multichannel audio for these themes. However, even it has been said 48 microphones have been used to record all instruments like in a concert hall won't totally apply to this CD. Rear channels don't include much of sounds to make the sound worth while multichannel.

Couldn't disagree more. While no sonic masterpiece, given its asking price , it can be highly recommended. The surounds help open up the width and depth of the front soundstage, IMO all you should expect from this type of music in MC. Davis has plenty of experience with film scores and the orchestrations are varied and interesting. The only unacceptable aspect of this release is that nowhere are the names of the composers of each track listed!!!. Presumably, they all wrote themselves. For the record(or should I say SA-CD) 4 tracks by Morricone,4 by Tiomkin together with the most famous themes that Moross and Elmer Bernstein wrote.
Highly recommended then at this price along with the similar James Bond theme package.
