I just purchased this CD and discovered that the stereo mode is wonderful. The SACD mode, however, projects all of the violins into the right channel (to the listeners right) and the center channel seems very dominate. This obscures the placement of instruments in the orchestra. I realize that the 2nd violins in Nott are on the listener's right, but I can't hear much at all on my left.
I have many SACD's and have never had this problem before -- again in the stereo it is wonderful and all as it should be.
I thought I should note this, while saying I am enjoying this recording very much.
