The sound is as good as that difficult venue allows, that is very very good, with just a litlle cloudy detail at the big tuttis. The performance is amazing and we have to go back to the mono recordings of Horowitz to find pianism of such distinction that completely silences criticism.

Wonderful pieces (especially Higdon's) and a multichannel recording able to transport the listener to heaven. An indispensable disc for Hif-i fanatics and music lovers as well.

I grew up with this wonderful album and I feel very privileged to be able to listen to it in splendid multichannel DSD sound. The transfer from the analogue tapes is simply astonishing and the music remains as original as the day it was written.

This is so magnificently played and recorded (like Stravinsky with the same forces), that I really cannot wait to hear Jarvi's Rite of Spring with the same orchestra. A truly great Prokofiev disc and a desert island SACD.

I disagree with the other review, because we must never be influenced by the superstar names that narrate peter and the wolf. This is a fantastic performance, and the recording is almost perfect.
