Thought it’s not my favorite Velvets album—that honor would go to “Loaded”—there’s no denying that the Velvet’s debut was nothing short of revolutionary. This hybrid disc sounds wonderful: warm, rich, dynamic, balanced—just very well done overall. I have all the Moody Blues’ SACDs, and while I think they’re far better than any RBCD I’ve heard, I’m not blown away by them.
