A great album that comes recommended if you don't own it already.
This Blu-ray is not a night and day dramatic improvement on the redbook but it is seemingly less compressed and very enjoyable, just don't expect a sonic masterpiece, I feel its hamstrung by the original recording.. so a rather ... more |

I'll keep it very simple. If you want to own the best-sounding digital disc presentation of Exile On Main Street, this Blu-ray is it.
The Blu-ray mastering has been proven to be identical to the (pricey) Japanese import SHM-SACD, which itself has garnered heavy praise from Stones devotees and ... more |

If you own the Blu-ray Video, this disc is absolutely pointless.. it's the same (terrible) surround mix.. fidelity is pretty awful.. the stereo is an improvement both in mix and sound but still nothing special.. A controversial mastering.. Is it the CD upsampled? From every online discussion about this disc it would appear so.. I personally can discern no audible improvement over the redbook (which is unusual for these HFPA's, many clearly have different and/or or superior mastering to their CD equivalent). ... more |

If you don't already own the superb (now out of print and seriously expensive) SACD of Sea Change, this Blu-ray is a total no-brainer, it sounds equally as terrific in surround as the SACD.
