Towards the end of the sixties, I had the pleasure, before graduation, of seeing two iconic bands sharing the same bill: Blood, Sweat and Tears (featuring David Clayton~Thomas) and Sly and the Family Stone.
The Spinning Wheels were turning that night.....a quite memorable evening!

I was NOT prepared to like this album (which later turned to TRUE LOVE) but 12 cuts later, I was absolutely blown away by this blues extravaganza, stupendously recorded in pure DSD. Another outstanding multi~channel SACD from SONY. I am NOT a huge fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber but on occasion he delivers and for the most part Phantom of the Opera is a contemporary masterpiece (grand opera in abbreviated form, if you will).
