I find all the other reviews accurate. I remember these performances from my childhood and find them refreshing in a nostalgic kind of way. This is one of my favorite SACD releases and sonically superior to most out there. I think I like having JT's voice in the center...I do not have a center channel speaker...which makes the stereo ghost image seem more natural. Now this is Jazz. The sound is exceptional (Telarc) and the musicians present a cohesive, uniformed set. I usually listen to a CD a couple of times before I critique the sound but hearing the pedals on piano caught me off guard. They got me again. I keep falling for the reviews written in the audiophiles magazines and websites. The sonics are fine but the music is emotionless.
