From Wish You Were Here to Ommadawn, always one of the best sounding disks on Vinyl and so its not suprising the SACD sounds as good as it does. This disc really has that natural analogue sound you get from Vinyl, exquisite detail without glare. The acoustic guitar strings on Wish You Were Here have body, the background vocalists can be heard as sperate voices, I've never heard their voices as a whole before, and its been achieved without an ... more |

There should be a review for this. This is a limited edition print and anybody reading this review should hoover a copy up before the pressings run out.

The recording is OK, very much the DG of the time, and yes its better than the CD, but I'm still not entirely happy with it.
Regardless, how can anyone listen to Karajan's 9th after Furtwangler? Get the Dreamlife DSD Mono of Furtwanglers 9th and be done ... more |
