This is a revelatory disc. Of the (too?) many dozens of discs I've purchased recently, this is one of the most exciting. If, like Mr. Leach above, you look for what Bernstein (once my prime preference), Scherchen, Abbado et al. provide, you're not going to find it here. Instead, you'll find a fresh ... more

Don't let anyone fool you this re-performance is anything much like Glenn Gould's. It doesn't even sound like any living pianist attempting to ape Gould – any living person would focus on emulating the ESSENCE of a Gouldian performance, but this is exactly what is missing here. I bought this SACD in eBay, and, luckily enough, the seller has been willing to accept it back with full refund.
