The sonics are reference quality, just like Taylor's Hourglass. I also like most of the selections. I particularly like Traffic Jam. If forced to choose between the two albums, I prefer the Hourglass performance, but only by a hair.

Of the Rolling Stone ABCKO remasters, according to Amazon.com, this is the best selling. In my opinion, this is a "must have" SACD. The sonics fall short of being reference, but are vastly superior to the vinyl and CDs. The performance is The Rolling Stones at their best. I can listen to this SACD ... more

Since Armstrong Plays W.C. Handy is one of my favorate SACDs, I bought Satch Plays Fats. From the beginning I was disappointed. The sonics don't match the Handly album and I think that makes it difficult for me to appreciate the performance. I never really enjoyed this and jumped at the opportunity ... more

This is one of my favorate SACDs. I never get tired to listening to it. The lyrics are catchy, it gets my foot moving to the beat, and if I could sing, I would. It is well recorded, even considering its age. This album was listed in one magazine's 100 best jazz albums of all time. I agree.

This pop/male vocal SACD includes a lot of top 40 hits and is very well recorded. I'm pleased that I bought it.
