Mari Kodama is a relatively young Japanese pianist whom I have never heard before. I gather she's married to the conductor Nagano, which certainly helps one's contacts in the cutthroat world of classical music. There are, amazingly, a dozen Mozart Requiems already on SACD. On the face of it, this expensive Universal Japan SACD of the traditional Süssmayr completion, without coupling, with only Japanese booklet notes, and stereo only, would appear to be a non-starter. This PentaTone remastering incorporates most of the pieces from two Arrau LPs released in the mid-1970s. The SACD contains the full LP contents of the 26 Chopin Preludes, but only Papillons from a Schumann anthology which originally also included Opp 15, 19 and 28. Arrau was born in 1903.
