This is a fine 'easy listening' version of this greatest of romantic ballets, presented complete. The conducting emphasises the lyrical aspects of the work, and underplays the theatrical and symphonic aspects of the score as exemplified by the recordings of Dorati , Gergiev and Mravinsky .

This is a highly recommendable 2 SACD set of contemporary music, in eclectic compositional styles, which will appeal to those who like jazz, New Age, baroque and romantic classical music. Because of this versatility, it would make an interesting present for a music lover.
