I wouldn't call this an RBCD recording, with or without the gasp. Linn pioneered the £18 per album, 24 bit 96kHz download and now sell 24 bit 192kHz at the same price where possible. Listening over headphones I hear a hiss which appears from nowhere in the first movement (approximately 14:30 to 14:58) and fourth movement (3:18 to 3:20) also an odd noise at 00:14 in the third movement and 'tick tock' noises in each movement break. I've been a huge fan of Ian Bostridge in this work since hearing him live at the RFH with Bernard Haitink and Thomas Hampson (all EMI artists at the time - why did no-one think to send them off to Abbey Road for a recording?) and I think this LSO Live recording captures his unique timbre better than the Pappano SACD. From recent experience, using a BDP-105 to stream from a USB hard drive: 1. I couldn't put it better than Kal 2. In my experience, this depends how you are 'driving' the Oppo.
