I find with all the updating I've done to my entertainment system over the years, the only thing truely holding me back from my systems full potential is the quality of the source. Be it CD, SACD, DVD Audio or Blueray, it's the duplication of the recording that I find really makes a huge ... more

I read all the reviews here and have to disagree with some. I listened to this a couple of times now, both on headphones, (Grado), and through my speaker system and I find the quality to be outstanding. The lower frequencies are present when and where they should be, not over-powering or over-blown. ... more

I have the BD-A of Breakfast in America and I am not wholly impressed with it. It sounds clean and all, with good midrange and good sounding lower frequencies. But it lacks a bit of sparkle. I have had very good luck with SHM SACD's in the past and am going to order the SACD as soon as the wife gives me the go ahead. Wish we had more Supertramp in ... more

Yes, you are right. But it plays a mean CD and will also play 2 channel material from SACD Hybrids. Dire Straits SACD, Brothers in Arms plays really well on a CD player. But only the DSD stereo portion, not the multi-channel SACD portion. ... more
