The SA-CD mix in 2ch is better than the CD mix and also has some different effects and sounds than the CD. As for the album for me its when Depeche Mode really became successful and produced an album of real gems with superb writing from Martin and has to be my all time favourite album ever!

For me this is album is when Depeche Mode started to write decent songs and there are some nice songs here so if you like Depeche Mode then you will like this album. As for the Stereo Mix it sounds good but i havnt ever owned the album previously to owning this SA-CD so i dont know if was like this ... more |

I seem to recall this was the first Depeche Mode CD i bought and played loads but the SACD in 2ch is clearly better and you can hear more compared to the standard CD release and its a great album which i find that i tend to play all the album. Recommended and has great song writing by Martin L Gore. ... more |

I bought this when it was originally released and i have the album on LP and i will be selling my copy as in 2ch its boring it has'nt any wow factor for me and will be sticking with the LP. I just can't recommend it and i wish i never bought it. My advice is stick with the LP! Good album but just ... more |

I noticed a difference immediately compared to the standard CD pressing when i played it back in 2ch sound and listening through headphones so i would say its well worth getting as it makes more enjoyable to hear sounds i just could'nt hear compared to the standard CD pressing. | Yes mine is the same its a red disc and slight gold underside (playing) with the SACD logo and Stereo and MC. My DVD/SACD player is Sony DVP NS 700V yes its old but works fine and i checked again it wont play the SACD layer only CD! ... more |
