I can't speak for the sonics, which, judging by previous releases on Tudor, must be quite good.

The performance is superb, as all Grumiaux. The sonics are a bit disappointment, as the mixing sounds a bit artificial. This was an original quadraphonic recording and the violin sounds way to loud in comparison to the orchestra. It is still worth the money. |

Grammy Award winner? Give me a break. Grammy adjudicators need a good box of Q-tips. What a marvel. This CD sounds so good, it's hard to believe it was done in the 1950s. The recording of La Mer has so much energy, and the audio quality is incredibly clear. | Ok, I think ONKYO must be playing a prank on us. I checked the manual for the tx-nr709 and it says it DOES have multichannel input. Here's the link
