I hate to be the voice of dissent in such matters - this recording has been almost universally praised, but I have personally been mystified in this. Another vote for the Rubinstein/Reiner Rachmaninov - these have always been my favourite. I would love to see them release an sacd version of this, though I wonder if the master is in decent enough shape to justify it.
