Songs of Faith and Devotion and Black Celebration are my two favorite Depeche Mode disks. The Rhino/Mute LPs sound great, but the sacds are other worldly. I don't know if there was a re-mix of the high-rez, but the scarlet book layers sound much smoother and less bright than the corresponding red ... more

This review may not be a true comparison of the best format of this album. As you will see, I find the remix found in the DVD-A to be best format. The DVD-A and SACD use different masters. I have both the SACD and the DVD-A of this recording as well as the original vinyl. I like every song on this ... more
