Gavin Dixon is a writer and composer based in Hertfordshire, UK. He studied music at Cardiff University and later at Goldsmiths College, University of London, where he completed a PhD on the symphonies of Alfred Schnittke. He has written on a wide range of music-related subjects and has contributed work on 20th century music to a number of Russian and German publications. Gavin is also a specialist in the history of musical instruments and currently holds the position of Deputy Keeper of Musical Instruments at the Horniman Museum in London. | |

| Recording was taken from concert performances in Berlin, Lucerne, Freiburg and Strasbourg. Performance itself is good, but the audio quality is nothing special. | This one's more about detail than passion. Lintu gets impressive clarity from the orchestra, which is picked up well by the recording.
