My Marantz DV 6001 was modded so it doesn't sound like the stock unit anymore. However, the way I remembered it, the stock Marantz sounds warmer and has leaner bass compared to the Lexicon. IMO, the Lexicon edges it by a bit in terms of resolution and bass. ... more | |

I have the new Japan sacd. The multichannel is great. Spacious, detailed and mids have warmth which I find not common in rock releases. Plus it has fat bass. I wasn't able to buy the previous versions (sacd or dvda) so I can't really compare.
