| I've been listening quite a lot to Lipkind both in stereo and in Mch, and for one thing I find the way he plays the cello to be in the very top league regardless of music or instrument of choice. As for the recorded sound it's as rich and detailed as his playing, and I don't miss any more "sense of room", certainly not in MCH, in stereo maybe, but ... more | |

| Yes that's the one; and yes he is definitely under-represented. You've got the Stabat mater, which is fantastic music and good performance and recording too, but even that's only stereo, not really close to the full potential of SACD. ... more | |

| As for classical hybrid SACDs, why would that be? Most people, including many reviewers, will listen to the CD-layer; I just can't see any reason why they would not be interested in making the CD sound as good as possible too.
