What a revelation! I was never a great Elton John fan even though I quite liked some of his songs but after listening to this SACD version of Honky chateau, I am a convert. "I Put a Spell on You" is my favourite CCR track and on this SACD it does not let me down. There is more depth and clarity and a little fuller in the bass region on the SACD version compared to the standard CD version. "Ninety Nine and a Half" and "Gloomy" are also very nicely executed. I would imagine that if they remastered the Beatles collection for SACD, so that it could be played on a normal CD player as well, that the collection would be the biggest selling SACD's ever. Really, the original release of the Beatles collection was mediocre at best and if they remastered them I believe that they would sell very well. I love the ... more
