Hmm, let me get this straight, you dismiss the CD medium based on the peculiarities of the frequency response of your hearing? You mention taking an equalizer to a live concert... if live music bothers you, what is good, correct sound? Come on folks, I'm 50 years old, a college graduate, and don't know a fugue from a tocatta, if you told most people you had a movement, they'd think bowel. Where was I supposed to learn this, in music appreciation? If you don't study an instrument, or even do, when do you learn about the forms and styles of classical music? Newbie with some observations

Hi, Several problem with the single inventory idea - for one DVD players get confused with hybrid disks. A DVD player will play red book CDs, but unless it is an SACD player also, it won't play the red book layer of an SACD. Or at best, some will, some won't. The straight DVD players I have think an SACD is a DVD at first, but try to play them and ... more
