Nothing to add to the previous review about the artistic performance, which is always great when DK sings old standards. But the MC sonics are awful: her voice is comming from the five channels instead of the front one(s). Stereo sonics are better, even if they are not the best we can have on jazz ... more

The listening to the music of this contemporary of Beethoven is quite pleasant, if not marked by genius. These are his only two known symphonies, and this is their first ever recording. On the first 52 records appearing with that query, 31 are reissue of old analog recording of core repertoire (RCA, MLP and even one DG) that were sold at a cheap price, when there where not much choice of SACD. +1 I own 48 BIS SACD (out of 269). I've never been disappointed with the sound quality of them.Let me say that I LOVE deep bass. All the BIS SACD I had a chance to listen to, gave me enough bass. I buy CDs judging only by their content (music, playing, technical quality...) not by their box. I indeed prefer standard boxes, as they are way easier to replace when broken than sacd's box or digipack. I hope that by discarding the sacd boxes, you'll be able to produce every new release on sacd. ... more
