Brenda, No insult meant for someone who prefers portability. Why do you take it personally that I do not like MP3? That does not mean one such as yourself can not hear the difference on a big static system. I have a DVD-A player that has a HDCD decoder. It is slightly better. I think CD's suck- I can only listen to them for about 1/2 hour, then they drive me crazy. It depends on your tastes. "Threshold" is one of my favorites. I have grown away form the catchy pop music, but these are produced to perfection and definitely will be for multichannel. Tons of Jazz and Classical are out on SACD(you know what the audiophiles listen to). SACD will not go away. I prefer vinyl to any digital format, but sometimes a ... more |
