This is Michel's best album to this date! Changing the musicians for this album was an insipred move: the album is fresh and full of new life. Songs sound natural and open, they just seem to flow efortlessly. All great albums sound like this. The SACD sounds great too, the sound is warm and open, ... more

I am not going to discuss the performance here because I absolutely LOVE all Patricia barber's albuma. Sonically speaking this SACD is (like all the other Patricia Barber SACDs) one of the best SACDs I've ever heard! Absolutely stunning!

It's OK, don't worry about it - I actually bought these discs because I think they are a great value. Order is already placed with Amazon and they offer free delivery to Belgium so I'll wait. It's no big deal if I do not get them on time for the "fun test" - I am actually quite convinced that they all sound equally great and that I will most ... more

OK, I'm game! :-) Just ordered my copy on Amazon.fr - unfortunately they foresee 2-4 weeks delivery time, so I might not make it to the deadline. Even if I don't, I can't get screwed on this one - I'm sure these discs will prove to be excellent value for the money! ... more
SACD & Amplifiers
October 16, 2009
I am using veeery old Harman/Kardon Citation 22 and 24 power amplifiers - these models came out around 1987 - long before SACD was ever mentioned, so I'm sure that they were not designed or optimized for SACD in any way. However, I have never had any problems when playing SACDs - the amps stay quite cool even at relatively high volumes. There are ... more

Why CDs rule

True. I have just finished enjoying Rick Wakeman's Six Wives Live At Hampton Court on Blu Ray - filmed in HD and encoded in DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound - it's an absolute feast for the eyes and the ears... for a price much more reasonable than what I have paid for most of my SACDs... If more discs of such quality this get produced then no ... more
