This is my favorite Ryan Adams album; I also own the cd version. Here is one that wraps itself around you and takes over. This is music that was made for surround and I think it works pretty well. It is very even and quite angry: it works in that extreme! I enjoy the mix and sonics over the cd ... more

This was not my favorite Moody Blues album, but is certainly much better in this format than any other I have listened to over the years. I have the old Quad 4 track of this and it was never as open as I hoped, this time they did it right. Please don't expect much action with the center and ... more

This was always one of my favorite Moody Blues albums. I have the Quad 4 track tapes and always thought they were good, but not as open as they should be. I am extremely happy with the sound and mix on these. Don't expect much to happen in the center or subwoofer, I think they stayed pretty on line ... more

The best depression you can buy on surround. It's a great album and sounds great too.

I think this is just one fine Brian Ferry effort. The surround is modern (this means good) so just buy it and enjoy it.

I was trying to help prospective buyers, not write a book review. Maybe it's because I usually just read the short reviews, I really don't usually care to read about each studio chair squeak. I think if someone says that he/she liked it and the surround works, gee that's about the meat of it. I don't need more, it's helpful to know that a real ... more

I wouldn't expect anything different. I did not know I was ordering from a UK house, they had an American front and nothing indicating PAL that I found, did not even think about it. I am a video editor and very aware of what PAL is. This is part of the confusion. It's not made very easy. If this is confusing me, I think it's confusing many others. ... more

Not offended at all, I really could care less, just think it strange that everyone (all three of you) would rate below zero for someone who was trying to help. I just am not among "the elite" I guess. I usually thank people who try to help. This forum is a waste of my time, but more power to those who write 500 words or more and those who have the ... more
