This sung German(?) is a TORTURE for all native speakers!

A real good interpretation with a the same compilation of titles as on the recording from PentaTone . The "warm" and smooth sound of this recording is a pleasure for the ears! Especially in the Serenade for Strings Op. 48 ATTENTION: SACD (DSD) layer includes only a multichannel version (5.1), but ... more

Sometimes I really can't understand, what some users write here. The best examples are the reviews of "gonzostick" and "Gabriel". I never readed such a s**t here before! I totaly disagree! I LOVE this recording and and I'm glad, that I have NOT heard one more time on the opinion of other users here ... more

What language is that, in which is sung here? Is it German? I don't think so, 'cause I'm a native speaker and I'm not capable mostly to understand, what's sung here. With one reason for this is the very reverberation-y reception which contributes with to the bad text-intelligibility (recorded June ... more

Got this recording some days ago and about the "ominous loud cracks" from the right front-channel in the multi-channel recording of the "Lustige Ouvertüre", Mr. Williams: Have the same problem twice times at 6 min. 12 sec. and 6 min. 18 sec. and it's really VERY loud(!) and no fun to hear. So it is'nt just a defect of your disc but propably of the ... more

Well, it’s done and I wrote a review about the Brahms symphonies by Semyon Bychkov and the WDR symphony-orchestra Cologne. But I have to say it’s always a hard work to me to write it in English and I wish I could do it in German. So excuse my terrible and primitive English, please! I’m also neither an expert for classical music nor a music critic. ... more

Dear "mandel", I'm really surprised about, that you wrote "It's quiet enough to not be a major issue in my opinion.", 'cause I hear it really loude and clear with my equipment from the first listening. For me it's really painfull and I'm afraid about the tweeter in the right rear speaker. Are you sure, that all your speakers are at the same sound ... more

Hi dear "brenda", yes, you're right, it affects both recording sessions. I've contacted the German distributor of LSOlive by phone last week and told him about the terrible sound of the multichannel track at this record and the discussion here. He told me that he got now complaints like this until this time but he will contact the company and ... more

What's going on with this recording? I've tested TWO discs(!) of it and with TWO SACD-systems(!) and there's always the same terrible, scratching noise from the tweeter of the right surround channel. It's only in the multichannel track of this disc. So it isn't a problem of the player. I've never heard such like this with any other SACD ... more
