I'm a 2ch man myself so I'll never hear the 5.1 mix but the stereo mix is pretty good and definitely better than the standard RB. There's just a little more audio level processing going on than I would like and that's unlike Fagen. On the plus though it's the best album you'll hear this year. Strangely, it's copped a beating in other forums. For example I've read comments such as very bright treble and very weak bass. My SA-11S1 is also chugging along very nicely. Performance has been virtually trouble free although there have been one or two instances of the player locking up during track advances, but considering how often I use the player (daily) this is a very minor issue. I note too that this player has been reviewed now by quite a few credible magazines ... more |
