There's not much I can add to the fabulous review above except to second its impressions. This is a stellar SACD release, both in regard to the choice of music- a long-awaited classic for this format- and the quality of its audio presentation. The hi-res/DSD format allows the timbre of the instruments and specifically their tonal extension and the warmth of the music to come through in a way not previously heard on cd. It's really a shame that ORG has decided not to release subsequent recordings like This is Our Music or Change of the Century on SACD, but listening to this album, one can be grateful that at least this one got made and done so in this way.
