One of the first titles I ever bought on the then new format of CD about 30 years ago was Learning to Crawl, and I thought it sounded great then. Miraculously, after all this time, I still have the CD somewhere, I just have to find it as I would love to do an A/B comparison. But not here, maybe I will start a thread.

This is a very strong work by the Pretenders. Maybe one weak song, but not weak enough to where I want to skip it. And of course a few hit singles.

Sonically, this is a very good stereo presentation. Vocals are clear with excellent character and distinction. Instrumentation is clear and well defined. The spectrum of sound is well represented in the high and mid-range, though I am on the fence about the bass. Could it be a little louder? I can't decide, my philosophy on bass is that less robs the music of something, but too much kills it. Perhaps it's almost right. I will have to listen to this on my a/b comparison.

I strongly recommend this. The remaster has done it justice.

This sacd sounds good. I do like the Rhino remaster better as this has more punch, a bit more clarity and a bit better bottom. But this sacd still is a good job by Mofi, and it comes down to personal preference.I have a feeling that a lot of the "hifi guys" like albums to sound restraint a laid back, whereas I like clarity, punch, taking away the "wollen carpet" in front of the speakers. This way you get to hear the details and the instruments, better. In my opinion.
