If you are a lover of jazz that bridges the old and new style......then I would give this sacd a listen.
Every single song on this album is excellent.
This is a completely and thoroughly enjoyable album from start to finish. The music is very fresh and alive and offers a nice sampling of different moods. Although the front cover states that it is an analogue recording it is actually digitally recorded in the 80's. The sound is excellent and offers some very nice bloom around instruments. Horns can sound quite realistic and the soundstage is fairly wide. There is romance and mystery in the sounds and feelings of this sacd.

Its the undeniable talent of Mr. Marsalis that shines through and to think of how young he was when this was recorded is really impressive. He has talent in spades.

Highly recommended. Dont miss out. Superb music.
