Performance:   Sonics:
This is a nice sounding SACD, l am always a bit wary of compilation disc's as original masters are rarely used but no concerns here. If you like the tunes then it is worth hunting down a copy, the last 4 bonus tracks not on the original release really seal the deal.

Worthwhile as a collection and reflection of the period in which it was recorded, but if you're not interested in many of the acts on this SACD, you're probably not going to listen to it much.

That said, you're probably not ever going to hear Foreigner, Bonnie Tyler, Quiet Riot, John Mellencamp, Sammy Hagar, or Kenny Loggins in SACD quality sound. A number of the acts have been forgotten, but you may find one or two treasures in this release to make it worth your while.
