This arrived in the morning. Packaging was very nice; this is like a three-page book which means that the booklet lies between two SACDs. I had already Kevin Mallon's performance with Arabian Ensemble (Naxos, 8.570966-67). It wasn't SACD only normal CD. So, this is my first SACD of this work and at the same time my first Carus' SACD. Speck's tempi are more peaceful than Mallon's. It wasn't only a disappointing because he [Speck] reaches this oratorio's solemnly feeling perfectly. 5.0 multi-channel mix is excellent.
