Performance:   Sonics:
Sadly, this is unfortunately great disappointed performance of Mahler's massive Third Symphony. Performance is too fast, and recording quality is poor. The only good things are symphony's powerful begin, third movement's off-stage horn solo and symphony's finale. Finale is very beautiful, and symphony's end is amazing! The other movements are performed too strongly. I recommend Michael Tilson Thomas' performance with San Francisco Symphony Orchestra (Avie) or Jonathan Nott's performance with Bamberg Symphony Orchestra (Tudor). Thomas' recording got Grammy Award, and it sounds much better than this. Don't waste your money, this is boring.
