I have been a fan of the Water Lily Acoustics label ever since I picked up the "A Meeting by the River" (by Ry Cooder and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt).

'From the Ashes" is another extra special collaboration for fans of any kind of string instruments. This album features in stunning SACD audiophile quality the incredible talents of Dr. L. Subramaniam and Larry Coryell.

Musically this all instrumental album features the left speaker acoustic guitar genius of Coryell justaposed vs the right signal of Subramaniam's violin plucking and vibes. The end result is a wonderul clash of 2 musical instuments working in harmony.

Once agin the Water Lily recording principles are in place with their richly customed all analog recording equipement ..mostly tube driven equipment.

So far I have enjoyed every Water Lily release and the SACD version of this album is well worth picking up.
