Performance:   Sonics:
I. Huizinga vcl, E. van der Luijt p, B. Teuwen b, V. de Boo ds, E. Spaanderman sax, Maxanter 2005.
Following the CD-titel twelve Broadway classics are performed as modern jazz versions. The arrangements and interpretations of the well known songs makes them their own. We`ve got an exiting Dutch acoustic vocal jazz record here. The band plays and accompanies very skilful with some thrilling soloing and the voice of Huizinga is full, clear and very versatile. And this is the only thing I have to criticize: sometimes she does a bit too much in her way of singing, to my taste, less would be more. But that is matter of taste. The sound is very good, rich of colour, very good soundstage and imaging, air for the instruments to breath, dynamic, brilliant.
