Performance:   Sonics:
One of the most delightfull discs you are ever likely to come accross.Four cellist who pluck scrape, bow, stamp, whistle and sing (Just the one word) Decribed as crossover seems to understate the fabulous sound this top notch group produce. This is a totally different production compared with the Cala Geofrey Simon Cello sound orchestra (review to follow)
Im convinced this is a DSD recording which benefits the lower ender of the frequency scale and its as good as Ive heard. The music ,all short works in possibly 24 different styles and its difficult to pick out highlights but I will try.St Louis Blues first track,Over the rainbow second track,Fabulous Hit the Road Jack including the stomp as track three, all the way thru to the end.So you get the picture..The bossa Nova medley includes girl from Ipanema,Scott Joplin gets a run out.I dont knoiw what was one cello 1 but theres no Beatle track amongst these diamonds.Excellent informative booklet.Excellent plus. I shudder to think what the surround could do to add to the pleasure.. Dave
