This all goes with a very pleasant swing in excellent sound. Whether Delacote is the equal of Beecham in this music I am not expert enough to say, but I certainly don't find anything routine in these performances. As some of the majors seem to be slowing down their output of SACD's it is good to have this charming repertoire so well performed in such good surround sound at a bargain price.

Im afraid Im less enthusiastic than Alan..nice recording very clear and pretty well played.The symphony akin to Beethoen 8th is interesting If you havent got another version but compared to 4 others is well below par by this conducter.The Larlisienne with suite 2 is a bonus even though most of the 2nd suite is not his music for this actual work and the opening of suite 2 is definite not joined up with the rest It is still very enjoyable .
