This is wonderful. I've read elsewhere that the intrepretation is too ( can't remember the complaint) but as I listened there were no unpleasant surprises. The music seemed to flow naturally. The cellist has a simply superb upper register. The sound (multi-channel) is beautifully conceived to place the listener about ten to twelve rows into the center or what we call the orchestra section of the concert hall (that section known in GB as the stalls). The piano trio is nicely done if no replacement for the Beaux Arts Trio or the Chung Trio, but the sound! This is a glorious disc!

This was such a pleasant surprise. It is one of those discs which immediately drew me in, to full attention. Gueyras reminds me of Peter Wispelwey, and the music, which is absolutely lyrical, romantic, beautiful, is played superbly by Gueyras and the Prague Symphony. In addition, the recording is clear; vivid; simply first rate. I put it on my personal list of those I highly recommend.
