The actual music is great, but then I like nearly everything that Incubus puts out, so make up your own mind on that one ;)
I haven't heard the surround mix, but the CD layer is the exact same as the non-SACD CD (compressed to hell, no dynamics, clipped), and the Stereo SACD layer left me disapointed, because it was only very slightly better in that department, still completely compressed, clipped etc.
Again, I can't speak for the surround mix...i hope to hear that in the not too distant future.

Very good album...I love it. I don't have an SACD player yet, but the CD layer sounds pretty good. My favorite songs are "Megalomaniac", "A Crow Left of the Murder", "Talk Shows On Mute", "Sick Sad Little World", "Pistola", "Southern Girl", and "Priceless". "Sick Sad Little World" is my #1 song off this album. It's quite ironic that I loved this album so much considering that I didn't really enjoy Morning View all that much (too soft).

In agreement with other users, this is not a good buy. The mix on the stereo SACD version is slightly improved, but still pegs the meters. What's the point of buying an SACD if it is just as compressed as the CD version? This is the loudness war at its finest. I'm disappointed because I really like the music on the album, but abhor the mixes on both the CD and SACD layers.
