I bought this on PCM CD when it was new, and loved it, this was using a mediocore stereo system. I liked it enough to buy it again, now that I have a nice SACD and Yamaha 2-channel system. And especially since it was a straight to DSD recording, which I was looking for anyway.

And it's worth it, it's perfect! The quiet parts are dead quiet. And just like everyone says, you start to notice things you didn't notice before, and some song kinda change their meaning or mood a bit now that I'm listening on a good system ... Or maybe it's just my imagination.

As a classical guitar student myself, I can appreiate hearing this recording on SACD. One can really hear up close, and their talent stands out so much more.

This is a very good dsd recording. On the second track one of the guitarists is smacking the side of his guitar sort of like a percussion sound and it is uncannily realistic in sound. I can not only hear but feel the wood of the guitar. The first track is gorgeuous in latin feel with a nice sensual feel. Other tracks are a little experimental in nature but the sound and playing are marvelous. I recommend this sacd whole heartedly.

Note: As this is a Telarc release I understand that they have been sold to Concord records. Telarc was a very strong supporter of the sacd technology and dsd recording and have released a very rich catalogue of music on sacd. I only hope that they will continue to do so under the new Managament. I have heard otherwise.

These guys are GOOD! The first track "Fragile" is mismerizing, I never heard "Carmen Suite" played any better. The only criticism I have is that many of the tracks between the opening and ending of this SACD seem to be too much of a guitar exhibition, rather than an orchestration. The recording quality is first rate - a winner.
