Not everyone likes organ music. It may be a little somber sounding for many music lovers. But for those who do like this type of music take a chance on this gorgeous release.

Proprius has done a great job here with the full sound spectrum of the organ captured in what I believe to be pure dsd. The booklet is not very clear about whether the recording is digital or analogue.
The sound is simply awesome. Very real and warm...very analogue. Tones are captured beautifully and they build up with great but subtle power when needed. There is no compression on this disc so the volume has to be pushed way up.........and then it gets a little spooky. Many of the notes are in the lower octaves and the walls tremble slighly so beware. The playing is mostly mellow with a few faster passages. The booklet mentions that some digital reverb was added because the actual recording venue did not allow for a more real decay. Otherwise the disc may have sounded a tad dry.
In anycase this does not bother me as Proprius is a wonderful label. This organ release is most impressive.

Highly recommended.
I own many Proprius discs and they are all fabulous audiophile recordings.
