Performance:   Sonics:
The acoustic is perfect for solo Bach, just enough resonance to enhance the tonal quality without blurring any of the detail. Kino strikes the 3 and 4 note chords together with power but very little of the "crunch" attack which can spoil performances of these works. The Tempo di Borea in Partita No 1 is a good example of this.
The intonation is particularly pure and Kino lets the music speak without too much indivdulalistic interpretation. It is often said that the monumental Chaccone which ends Partita No 2 in D minor is unplayable musically, but this performance has a clarity and purity which is quite compelling, no searching, angst, over surging climaxes, but immense power and conviction. I have listened to amost of the "greats" in person and recordings and rate this guy to be among them
