Performance:   Sonics:
This pair of legendary artists sounded as fresh and crisp as the finest sparkling California wine in this recording of a live performance. I was unable to notice any wind noise or other distractions. George Shearing and Mel Torme were simply great together in the 1980's and their music has aged extremely well on this album.

Performance:   Sonics:
Very entertaining and pleasant but I have two negatives:

First, there is some low frequency noise, probably from the wind on the microphone, that comes across very loudly on my earphones (AKG K701s). Haven't heard it yet on speakers but perhaps a low frequency filter might be in order. I'm knocking it down on stereo sonics solely on that basis. Otherwise, the sounds are smooth, clean, and clear.

Second, it's too short. I don't have the timing but it was over all too soon. I suspect that is because it is short and because it is so much fun to listen to.

This is my first recording by Mel Torme but now I wish for more. Shearing's accompaniment was also polished and added a lot to the experience.
