Performance:   Sonics:
I bought this disc without listening to any samples. Big, big mistake. It's a combination of synthesizer arrangements of great Sci-Fi music, along with some instrumentals (albeit a very small ensemble). After listening to a few tracks, I figured that a better title would have been "Sci-Fi In Junior High". On the plus side, the music is crystal-clear, and it sounds like the performers are right there in your listening room!

I don't necessarily agree with the previous reviewer, but I'm glad I picked this up used instead of paying full price.

The arrangements are inventive and well played. Steve Hoffman's mastering is excellent, and the sound is fabulous. I had expected this to be a bit more symphonic, but it's closer in spirit to the many "Easy Listening" releases from the 1960's. It's certainly worth throwing on as background music while you prowl your bachelor pad.
