These recordings may not be perfect but they are without a doubt the best digital versions of these songs I have ever heard.

As with most compilations there are always variations in level and quality between tracks but that is all forgiven when you hear wonderful tracks in Super Audio such as Eye of the Tiger, Sweet Dreams, Jump, Fantastic Day, Hold me now.... and many others.

I'm certainly no Wham fan but even wake me up before you .... in sacd is listen worthy.

Sure some tracks are compressed, sure the sound quality police will tell us that the Dr Database

doesn't rate it..blah blah blah. But I seriously doubt we will ever hear these tracks sound this good ever again.

I don't know why Sony released this compilation but I'm glad they did - and may they release a few more because I will certainly be buying them.

I have all these songs on CD, I'm sure many of you do too. I agree with tdunster that most of the selection is the best I've heard. A couple on my system sounded a little too bright like Whitney Huston: I wanna Dance with Somebody and Wham has the sibilance problem with the vocals but not as bad as his latest release. Overall I think its great sounding even though its been over played back in the 80s, nice to have one disc to capture many great hits sounding the best ever.

80's Love SACD sounds just as good IMO.
